Co-Labs

Testing standards and AI together, sharing what works

Co-Labs is a joint initiative of 1EdTech Global and 1EdTech Korea for research, development, and real-world validation. We apply EdTech standards and AI technologies in live environments, confirm how they work in practice, and deliver validated results in a form that institutions and companies can use.

How Co-Labs works

  • Design standards-based experiments and validate them in real environments
  • Findings shared as open material and working services
  • Run jointly with participating organizations — see membership for enquiries

Learning Data Dictionary

In preparation

A Korean-language reference that aligns learning data vocabulary across international standards. It gathers the terms, properties, and controlled vocabularies scattered across xAPI, Caliper, CASE, OneRoster, QTI, Open Badges, and CLR into a single reference layer, and presents each item with its native data type and an example payload.

The goal is to reduce the gap that appears when different services record the same learning activity under different names.

Based on outcomes from the Korea Education and Research Information Service (KERIS) project on standards-based learning data.

CASE Repository

In design and development

A national repository for registering, searching, and referencing curriculum standards and competency frameworks with the CASE standard. It is designed to serve every sector — K-12, higher education, and vocational and lifelong learning alike.

Achievement standards that each institution expresses differently are linked through shared identifiers, and the repository participates in the 1EdTech CASE Global Network as Korea's node — opening a path for Korean curriculum frameworks to be referenced internationally.

1EdTech Korea's own service, developed in-house drawing on Wicked Storm Inc.'s CASE repository and higher-education AI technology, Data Driven Inc.'s K-12 AI technology, and the research of Yong-Sang Cho, Ph.D.

The work at Co-Labs is ongoing. To take part in an experiment or make use of what we've validated, see our membership page.
